1. There are a few things you can try, but eventually you'll have to probably take the console in for repair since it seems the USB Interface IC is probably toast. Repairing it on your own is possible but it's hard work and you can damage the circuit (more about this later). First thing I would try is get a different USB cable and try all ports
Take your Apple Remote and disconnect it from the Apple TV…. Hold down Volume Down (minus) and Home (TV Screen) buttons at the same time. A few seconds and the remote will disconnect. A few seconds later a "Remote disconnected" notification shows. Use your controller. Shutdown your PS4. Connect your controller to the console with a USB cable. Press and hold the PS button which will lead to re-syncing the controller at startup. Optionally, try using the share button simultaneously. Solution 3: Reset Your PS4 Controller. PS4 Controller Not Connecting to PS4 is caused mostly due to malfunctioning of the Turn off your PS4 (completely off, not sleep mode). Connect your PS4 controller via USB cable. Turn the PS4 on. When the screen notifies you to turn on your PS4 controller, press and hold the PS button. Hold it until you hear two beeps. Turn off the PS4. Turn it back on. When the screen reaches the “press the PS button” point, do two things. OESNWLV.
